Clock strikes the hour and half hour on a soft, gentle gong.  The lovely painted dial features delicately painted flowers at the corners and Roman Numerals with only light flaking around the winding arbors.  The reverse painted glass tablet is near mint and illustrates a lovely old estate on a partly cloudy day with blue sky showing through the clouds.  The gold painted columns retain the original paint and the cherry case is near perfect.  A wonderful, all original mantel clock from the early part of the 20th century that would add charm to any room.  Professionally cleaned and oiled.
