ANT874 English Tallcase Clock

Very early English Tallcase clock made by G. Bridge, England as signed on the original brass dial. there brass dial exhibits cast brass spandrels which surround the silver chapter ring with Roman Numerals.  The original minute and hour hand are steel, as is the second hand.  The heavy brass 8 day time and strike weight and cable driven movement is also original to the cabinet.  It has been professionally cleaned, oiled, re-cabled, and regulated and shows little wear for it's age.  The old door glass is very "bubbly" and appears original as well.  The old wooden cabinet is in good condition for its' age, there is some splitting in the front door, the left and right of the bonnet and the left and right sides at the bottom of the cabinet; which is to be expected.  The cabinet is very structurally sound through and through.  The front door has lovely floral carvings and the number I633 carved in the middle. Every part of this glorious clock appears to be original and it makes a true statement to the superior craftsmanship of its period.  It comes to you with a one year warranty and free delivery and set-up in the Baltimore/DC area.
