ANT890 French Slate Mantel Clock (circa1890)

This clock has unique 8-day time only movement, which means it only keeps time, it does not chime or strike.  The lovely slate case is flawless which is very rare to find.  They usually have imperfections with chips or cracks.  This a very heavy clock, as the French liked to reinforce their cases with concrete.  The porcelain dial is also flawless and very clean.  The movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled.
