C2009TCH Kensington by Comitti of London The "Kensington" Grandfather Clock has been created in the Georgian style break arch cabinet, a design that has been popular for over 250 years. The mahogany cabinet is decorated with curl veneers, inlaid with boxwood edge line, and is hand rubbed and waxed to achieve an "antique" patina. The traditional brass dial has a silver chapter ring, second bit, beautifully colored moon dial, and oven-blued serpentine hands to indicate the time. Inside, the clock has a German Kieninger triple chime 8 day movement with silent option. Also, the Kensington has an automatic nightsilent feature which when engaged, turns the chime and strike off from 10PM-7AM. In addition, there is an automatic chime sequence feature and automatic beat correction feature. This triple chime movement plays the Westminster, St. Michaels, and Whittington chimes every 15 minutes. The weight shells and pendulum bob are polished brass and are visable through the lower front door. The side panels are glass to allow the mechanism to be viewed from the sides and are removable to easily access the movement.
